Matt Comes for a Visit

My buddy Matt from Chicago decided to pop in for a few days with virtually no notice. Luckily Dena keeps a spare bedroom on tap. We were a little worried that he'd come down and tear the place up with his party-some demeanor, but he mostly just slept.

Matt, in his attempt to get "sizzled", made us finally go to the beach for some suntan action. We've been here for several months now and hadn't really enjoyed the sunshine (unless it was with a Corona in our hands.)

Everyone told us Honeymoon Island was one of the best beaches around. All we found when we got there was a beach covered in sharp rocks and shells and a giant white trash convention... or boat show, whatever. Posted by Hello

The seagulls wouldn't have been that bad if the white trash didn't feed them. Posted by Hello

Merimac Farm

I recently returned from a trip to the boss's house in upstate New York. The scenery was beautiful and the house was amazing. I had to take the train from New York City to the end of the line to get there, but it was worth the trip. Needless to say I didn't get any work done on the train because I spent the entire three hours looking out the window. This pic is of the backside of the house looking at the kitchen (all those windows!)Posted by Hello

The wine cellar. I'm not sure of the vintage of the Post-It Notes. Posted by Hello

Sunday's Bike Ride: Danger!

This is a terrible picture from my Treo, but you can kind of make out the giant (probably 5 ft. long) alligator at the water's edge. It was just kind of hanging out waiting for some unsuspecting bike rider to get too close. Posted by Hello

Dena and I went on a walk in the park down the block from our house yesterday. Here's the sign on the way in to our street. When they were building it in the 50's, our neighborhood was supposed to be a trailer park. Good thing that didn't happen or our house would have wheels. Posted by Hello
